Open Data Armenia summarized the results of the OpenData2026 competition and awarded the winners of the competition as part of the Open Data Day events.
The winner of the competition in the Cultural Applications category was the AriPari project encyclopedia presented by Gevorg Tsaturyan. It is a trilingual repository of Armenian ethnographic dance videos, video lessons, and music, which aims to preserve and spread Armenian dance art.
Two works took second place in the Cultural Applications category. One of them is Ani Tadevosyan’s “Arevank” project, which is a database of Armenian religious architecture, presented with statistics and chronology.
In the other second place work, Ani Hovhannisyan presents the royal dynasties of Armenia and the stories of the kings.
The winner of the OpenData2026 competition in the Data Presentation and Visualization category was Aren Nazaryan’s automated data export tool from the Corruption Prevention Commission website. It allows for quick verification and comparison of income and property information in officials’ declarations.
In this category too, two works took second place, with equal points. One of them is the Budget Tool presented by Tigran Shahverdyan, which combines the numerical data of the RA 2019-2025 budgets, allowing for quick comparisons and analysis.
The other award-winning work is the Admissions Atlas presented by Astghik Petrosyan, which collected information on the submission of applications, competitive scores, and required exams for 13 universities in Armenia in one place.
The prize fund of the competition was 3,000 USD. The competition is being held in Armenia for the third time by the Open Data Armenia organization, which is engaged in the promotion of Open Data in Armenia, the encouragement of public benefit works based on them, and educational programs in this field.
