The main purpose of the data discovery process is to obtain new and valuable data needed for research or operational purposes.
In the Open Data Armenia project, the data discovery process is closely related to publicly available published data. As a rule, it is a search for open data or such data that may be available according to some regulation or requested from the owner (government agency, company, scientific organization, NGO).
